The Undergraduate Certificate in the Advancement of Computing – Cybersecurity is designed to develop marketable skills grounded in cybersecurity principles and to provide a solid foundation for further education in the cybersecurity field. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 32 percent growth in information security careers through 2028, and demand for cybersecurity professionals is high.
CityU was designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security.
Upon successful completion of the certificate, you will have gained a mastery of advanced skills in the areas of network security, systems security, data security, software security, and component security to build a career in the area of cybersecurity.
Learning Outcomes
The Undergraduate Certificate in the Advancement of Computing – Cybersecurity will prepare students to:
