Earn Your Doctorate
CityU’s Ed.D. in Leadership equips individuals to address leadership challenges, produce data-driven solutions and teach sustainable business practices. This unique online program offers four concentration routes: educational leadership, nonprofit organizations, private sector corporations and specialized study. Complete your coursework in as few as two and half years if you are motivated and have graduate credits to transfer.
CityU’s Doctor of Business Administration is designed for established business professionals who want to develop advanced skills in organization interventional thinking, agile business practices, leadership and critical thinking, while developing specialized business knowledge in the area of their choice.
Become a Change Leader
Introducing the M.B.A. that’s designed specifically to make you more adept at leading your organization; CityU’s M.B.A. with Change Leadership emphasis is for those who are change agents within organizations. That means anyone taking an active role to lead significant changes within an organization such as the implementation of new systems, processes, the integration of new units, or even the rollout of a new business line.
If the M.B.A. route isn’t for you, then CityU’s Master of Science in Management and Leadership provides an alternative to complete a master’s degree while gaining the knowledge and skills needed to become a strategic leader in any field, and at any organizational level. This program is designed for individuals who aspire to perform at a level greater than their present capacity, and who wish to move into upper-level management positions.
Move Up in Educational Leadership
If you are looking to move higher in an administrative role, then CityU offers a variety of routes culminating in degrees and certifications to help you develop skills in school administration, educational reform and instructional supervision. Programs include year-long internships that focus on the daily challenges faced by administrators. Candidates who complete certification requirements are recommended for certification to the Washington Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB).
As an alternate to the certificate, many students choose to complete the Principal, Program Administrator or Superintendent concentration area in our Doctoral Program. This path puts you one third of the way toward a Doctoral degree.
CityU also offers Master of Education degrees in Leadership and in Adult Education. Each program is specifically designed for leaders in educational roles. The M.Ed. in Adult Education offers options for teachers of English to speakers of other languages. The degree will arm you with the theoretical and practical teaching knowledge to become more successful in your teaching or training in all types of organizations.
“By going through CityU’s program, I gained a greater depth in understanding what leadership is and how it works in the real world.”
