CityU’s approach focuses on the increased globalization of the business world; the program includes a seven-day, immersive residency. You will also be paired with an executive mentor to help guide you throughout your academic journey.
The CityU EMBA helps you to identify inflection points and implement strategies to take the next step in your career and further develop your leadership, networking and communication skills. Students benefit from small classes, practitioner-scholar faculty, a team-oriented cohort structure, and the flexibility of hybrid program (online synchronous delivery with three in person residencies).
*Classes are predominantly offered in an online synchronous format, but this program also includes 3 residencies that require in-person participation.
Overview
City University of Seattle’s Executive MBA program is delivered over 15 months to a cohort consisting of working professionals with a minimum of 12 years of relevant managerial experience. The program features 13 courses, 3 credits each, delivered in an online synchronous model (10 online synchronous courses, three residencies, including study abroad and mentoring/professional development sessions). Each of the courses is only five weeks in duration, which allows for rapid realization of benefits, as you need them. All teaching resources, including books, articles and publications are included with the program tuition. The on-campus residencies are offered in a compressed weekend format.

According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (2022), employment in management occupations is projected to grow 9 percent from 2020 to 2030, about as fast as the average for all occupations, and will result in about 906,800 new jobs. Employment growth is expected to be driven by the formation of new organizations and expansion of existing ones, which should require more workers to manage these operations. Forbes (2015) found that the average salary and bonus package for EMBA graduates rose from a start of $155,848 to $181,965. They wrote that EMBA degrees often lead to promotions, especially for people working in finance, marketing and accounting. Approximately 53 percent of graduates received new responsibilities and 38 percent received promotions during their time in the program.
