Choose From a Variety of Programs Offered in Mexico
In 2005, City University of Seattle started offering its Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Mexicali, Tijuana, and Ensenada, Baja California. Today, CityU has a strong presence in Baja California, Monterrey, San Luis Potosi, Puebla and Mexico City. CityU offers degrees and certificates in business, technology, project management, and psychology throughout Mexico. CityU's Doctor of Education in Leadership (Ed.D.) and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) are offered online. The Ed.D. is approved by the Mexican Secretary of Education PRODEP Department for funding.
In order to increase educational opportunities and access, CityU continuously looks to partner with other universities in Mexico. CityU has partnered with Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México to offer an array of academic programs in Seattle and online.

Centro de Enseñanza Técnica y Superior (CETYS) Universidad
CETYS was founded in 1961 and is a nonprofit institution that strongly promotes internationalization. CETYS University is fully accredited in Mexico and is also accredited by WASC in the U.S.
In 2005, CityU and CETYS partnered to provide CETYS students access to a U.S.-accredited degree. Students enrolled in a CityU/CETYS program graduate with two degrees from two countries. Today, CityU offers its Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Management, Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology, and undergraduate and graduate certificates in Project Management at three CETYS locations throughout Baja California: Mexicali, Tijuana, and Ensenada. Other CityU programs offered online are the Doctor in Education in Leadership and Doctor of Business Administration.
Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León
Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) was founded in 1933 and is located in the City of Monterrey, in northeast Mexico. UANL is a public institution and is the third-largest university in Mexico with a student population of more than 200,000 in 304 academic programs. UANL has over 25 semi-autonomous schools that offer programs from engineering, law, and business to education and music.
In 2010, CityU began to offer its Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in partnership with UANL’s Facultad de Condatudia Publica y Administration – School of Public Accounting and Administration – (FACPYA). Additionally, CityU offers the MBA at FACPYA and Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology with Facultad de Psicologia – School of Psychology.
Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí
Founded in 1859, Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi (UASLP) is a multi-campus public university located in the heart of Mexico. Its mission focuses on graduating professional, scientific, humanistic, and academic students who are critical, creative, reflective, and ethical with an international perspective. UASLP has been ranked among the top 5 public universities in Mexico by the Mexican Ministry of Education. The university has a student population of 32,000.
CityU and UASLP partnered to offers CityU’s Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Management, Bachelor of Science in Applied Computing, and Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology at the UASLP. CityU’s Doctor of Education in Leadership is offered online.
Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla
UPAEP first opened its doors in 1973 and has an enrollment of 13,000 students. UPAEP is a private university with two campuses in the state of Puebla. In addition to the two university campuses, UPAEP has nine high schools in different states. Its mission has a strong emphasis on educating environmentally conscious students in an effort to cultivate future leaders who can transform society.
In 2010, CityU and UPAEP signed an academic collaboration agreement to offer US accredited degrees to UPAEP students. CityU offers its Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Management, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and Graduate Certificates in Change Leadership, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, and Project Management at UPAEP. CityU doctoral programs are offered online.
Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México
In 1551, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México – Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM) was founded. UNAM is a multi-campus multi-national public university with campuses in Mexico, Latin America, United States, Asia, Canada, and Europe. UNAM has a student enrollment of 269,000 students in Mexico City, making it one of the world's largest universities.
In 2014, CityU and UNAM signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide educational opportunities to UNAM students.
Partnership Opportunities
CityU continuously looks to partner with other universities in Mexico. To date, CityU has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements with three potential new partners: the Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas, Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
