Develop Your Expertise to Advance in Your Finance Career

City University of Seattle’s Graduate Certificate in Finance provides a comprehensive overview of business finance for those looking to add to their accounting skill set or bring their previous knowledge up to date. All of our courses are fully accredited, which means you’ll earn credit toward a master’s degree. If you have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, you can apply to this program. Because of the rigor of the certificate, applicable prior experience in accounting or an additional accounting course may be necessary before beginning.

The finance certificate is offered completely online and class sizes are kept small so you’ll get individual attention, even at home. The program can be completed in as little as one year.

The graduate certificate in finance is an online program that covers usable topics, including: financing (examine the theory and practice of business finance from a decision-maker’s perspective); banking (assessing a bank’s stability and services); investing (establishing and managing a portfolio of stocks, bonds, and other investments); and trading (preparing stock sales for a publicly traded company or initial public offering). CityU’s finance certificate utilizes a faculty of active financial experts to reach beyond theories so you can develop the skills to face real, on-the-job challenges.

These courses will prepare students to sit for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Exam. In order to apply for the CFP® certification, individuals must pass the CFP® Exam and also must satisfy all other requirements (including, but not limited to, experience and ethics).
