City University of Seattle Launches Doctor of Business Administration Degree
June 4, 2015 -SEATTLE, Washington – City University of Seattle now offers a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). The first cohort starts October 2015. CityU’s online DBA is designed for professionals who want to develop advanced skills in strategic thinking, agile business practices, and leadership; while developing specialized business knowledge in an area of their choice.
CityU is an established doctoral institution with a highly ranked School of Management. The School is accredited by ACBSP, is the third largest producer of MBA graduates in the state of Washington, and offers online undergraduate, graduate, and MBA degrees all ranked by U.S. News & World Report as being some of the best in the nation. The DBA falls in line with this lineage and offers a curriculum informed and taught by practicing business professionals; which has come to be a distinct feature of CityU’s programs.
Dedicated to providing relevant education in a flexible format, coursework and discussion groups are available entirely online, so students can log-on anywhere in the world to complete assignments. DBA students are supported through Professor Live Chat and a highly interactive teaching model. This model enhances personalized attention and instruction given to doctoral students.
Students are also offered flexibility in what they study. While there are core courses students must take, they can transfer in four graduate courses and specialize their study around them – cultivating their business knowledge and resume.
“A Doctor of Business Administration is an excellent addition to CityU’s degree offerings. As a premier educational institution, this doctorate represents a step forward in helping professionals enhance their careers,” said CityU’s President Richard Carter. “With our faculty and student body coming to us from around the world, this program is an example of how CityU prepares students to serve as strategic, culturally competent, and globally aware business leaders.”
