In an effort to offer high-quality educational programs to those with a desire to learn, City University of Seattle has partnered with three new Mexican institutions. In 2005, CityU of Seattle started to offer US-style and accredited education in Mexico via a partnership with CETYS Universidad, located in Baja California, Mexico. The new partners in Mexico are: Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, located in Monterrey, Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, located in San Luis Potosí, and Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla, located in Puebla.

In recognition of our growth in the country, the Mexican Consul in Seattle, Mr. Alejandro Garcia Moreno, and Lilián Vázquez Córdova, Director of Community Outreach, visited CityU’s Bellevue campus on Thursday, December 16th.

The Consul’s visit included a meeting with President Gorsuch and the International Programs Academic Coordinator, Antonio Esqueda, a video conference with students enrolled in CityU’s programs in Mexico, and a tour of the campus.

As CityU continues to grow in Mexico, our relationship with the Mexican Consul in Seattle and elsewhere will prove to be invaluable. This past summer, students from CETYS Universidad, as part of their CityU Program, visited the Mexican Consulate in Prague.
