Faculty Member Honored with the Waldvogel Exemplar of Integrity Award
We are proud to announce that Anna Cholewinska is the recipient of the Waldvogel Exemplar of Integrity Award. This award is named in honor of Jerry Waldvogel and is given to an individual who demonstrates courage and perseverance in championing the ideals of academic integrity in the face of opposition and/or adversity. Recipients of this award are recognized at an annual awards banquet.
Anna is an Associate Professor, Online Programs Co-Coordinator, and the Undergraduate Programs Director in the Division of Arts and Sciences at City University of Seattle. As an administrator, Anna ensures that the highest standards are upheld within all the programs she supervises, and partners with colleagues in guiding the University toward institution-wide policies and practices promoting academic integrity and scholastic honesty. As a mentor to faculty, Anna exemplifies the characteristics and commitments necessary to provide students with guidance in academic integrity and scholastic honesty.
For more than 10 years, Anna has diligently worked to promote academic integrity and scholastic honesty at CityU through effective teaching, student support and leadership. Her recent policy mandating that all instructors in the Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology program require their students to turn in papers via Turnitin.com, is just one example of how she has upheld scholastic honesty. Anna is prepared to guide students and faculty in this and other academic endeavors.
Students strive for academic and personal satisfaction and excellence. Efforts such as these embolden students in this effort. Congratulations, Anna, this award is well deserved!
