Dr. Krissy Jones Awarded for her Work in Competency-based Education
Dr. Krissy Jones was recognized for her important research and work within the competency-based community by the Competency-Based Education Network (CBEN).
A contribution award was given to Dr. Jones at CBEN’s Winter Convention in San Diego recently. At this convention, a white paper that Dr. Jones contributed to was released. Dr. Jones specifically aided in collecting the interviews, surveys, and coding the initial analysis used for this paper. In her career, Dr. Jones has contributed academic research, written exhaustively, and run competency-based programs at the higher education level.
We are proud to have Dr. Jones teach our students and lead some of our most innovative programs, such as the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction that is available through a competency-based model. This award and celebration is well deserved.
