Distinguished Faculty Award Winner: Jennifer J. Wright
The 2014 President’s Award for Teaching Excellence for the Albright School of Education goes to Jennifer Wright. Jennifer helped develop and continues to teach the course titled, Technology for School Leaders. As she went from developing the course to teaching it, she kept in mind what she needed to do to impact the lives of students in her classroom who would soon turn around and impact the lives of students at the K-12 level.
Using what she learned in CityU’s Principal and Administrator Professional Certification program, Jennifer regularly responds to the needs of her students by keeping in mind learning outcomes and using different instructional methods. One of her students says, “Jennifer’s ability to respond quickly to students’ comments by pulling up a relevant web resource really added an element I haven’t experienced before. It was great and I intend to make more use of that instructional strategy myself.”
When asked about winning the award, Jennifer said, “I am pleased to be named a 2014 President’s Award for Teaching Excellence recipient. It is an honor to be recognized by my peers for such an award, and I look forward to my continued association with CityU’s wonderful students and faculty.” Jennifer will be given this award at before CityU’s 39th Commencement Ceremony. Congratulations Jennifer, it is our honor to have you as a distinguished faculty members.
