The 2014 President’s Award for Teaching Excellence for the Division of Doctoral Studies goes to Dr. Elizabeth Fountain. Elizabeth’s students appreciate the way that she actively engages them online. One student wrote, “Dr. Fountain’s follow-up questions on online discussion board threads are thought-provoking and helpful. I have thoroughly enjoyed her teaching style and have learned a lot about the concepts of leadership.” Elizabeth keeps open lines of communication with her students and encourages them to dive deeper into the subject matter. She is concerned with the student experience and consistently looks for ways to improve course materials so that students walk away better prepared to lead their organizations.

Elizabeth will be presented with this award on Saturday, June 21, prior to CityU’s 39^th Commencement Ceremony. Congratulations Elizabeth, it is our honor to have you as a distinguished faculty members.
