READ MOREThis week, Dr. Kurt Kirstein, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at City University of Seattle was inducted to the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León’s Facultad de Contaduría Pública y Administración’s International Advisory Board. As a member of the Board, Dr. Kirstein will provide recommendations to CityU’s partner in Monterrey, Mexico.
The Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon via its School of Business (UANL-FACPYA for their Spanish acronym) and CityU partnered in 2007 to offer a double degree program in Business Administration. Today, CityU and UANL have added other programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. UANL/FACPYA and CityU started CityU’s first graduate degree in Mexico with by offering a Master in Business Administration in a double degree format. In 2011, CityU partnered with Facultad de Psicologia (FAPSI) to offer a double degree program leading to a Mexican bachelor’s degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology.
The UANL-FACPYA International Advisory Board is comprised of higher education leaders from North and South America, and Europe. Dr. Kirstein stated, “It is my pleasure and honored to have been asked participate and voted into the UANL-FACPYA International Advisory Board, as a long time CityU strategic partner in Mexico, I believe this will serve as a platform to provide reciprocal guidance. I look forward to the Board’s next meeting and to collaborate with everyone in the Board.”
