READ MORECity University of Seattle celebrated the official opening of a new site at Joint Base Lewis–McChord this fall. A ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 29 commemorated the occasion.
The new on-base location is a convenient place for service members and their families to connect with CityU staff and obtain information about academic programs and university services.
At the JBLM site, CityU is focusing on its Bachelor of Arts in Human Services, Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and Master of Science in Healthcare Administration. Students are also able to get information about programs available online and at other CityU sites.
“We have students currently enrolled for the fall quarter, and are now accepting applications and admitting students for January,” said Lana Lee, CityU’s regional director of enrollment management and outreach.
CityU joins six other universities in the Stone Education Center at Joint Base Lewis–McChord.
“The programs we offer onsite are unique to JBLM,” Lee said. “The schools here complement each other, we don’t compete with one another.”
This collaborative nature enables the schools and education counselors who work onsite to advise service members and their families in the best manner possible.
City University of Seattle is proud to serve military men and women. The university offers discounted military tuition and veteran scholarships and partners with organizations to ensure that service members have the support they need when attending school.
Service members, their families and civilians interested in learning more about CityU are welcome to visit the JBLM site anytime 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; no appointments are necessary. They can also contact CityU’s Military Advisor Gino Burns by email or at 253-964-0469.
