CityU Crossing International Borders

CityU Crossing International Borders

City University of Seattle is excited for the recent opportunity to form new international agreements with universities in India!

Recently, Dr. Sumantra Sengupta, Dean of CityU’s School of Business and Management, and Antonio Esqueda Flores, Senior Director, traveled to India to follow up on Antonio’s Educational Trade Mission sponsored by the U.S. Commercial Services held in September 2022.

During the trip, CityU signed five Memorandum of Understandings with Bennett University in Delhi, IES University in Bhopal, Kristu Jayanti College, BSM University, and Presidency University in Bengaluru, and HR College in Mumbai. In Pune, CityU is in conversations with its

long-term partner, ASM Institute for educational workshops to their students who would be potential School of Business and Management or School of Technology and Computing students in a 2+2, 3+1, and 1+1 degree completion agreement. The first workshop will be held next month.

The partnerships mentioned above will hold two parallel objectives. First, these are designed to recruit students from these institutions to CityU. At the same time, the partnerships allow CityU to recruit faculty from these institutions to teach for CityU online and provide guest lectures activities for their students. At the time of this writing, we are the only institutions doing so and we have been asked by the U.S. Commercial Services to write up out experience to be highlighted in their communication with the White House.
