CityU of Seattle Commencement 2016 – International Student Participation
City University of Seattle celebrated its 41st Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, June 18th at Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. In total, CityU of Seattle awarded 1,205 degrees worldwide including 194 bachelors, 324 masters, and 1 doctoral degree. Within these totals, CityU had the pleasure to award the following degrees to its international students from different partnerships.
CityU partnered with Shenzhen Polytechnic Institute (SZPT) located in Shenzhen China in 2012. This innovative partnership allows Chinese students to start their bachelor degree in China and transfer to CityU in Seattle to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Management (BAM) or a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. The first cohort of BAM students walked across the stage signaling a successful program. Congratulations to the newly minted BAM students from SZPT.
In addition to the SZPT students, CityU hosted 34 Master in Business Administration (MBA) students from its Beijing partner! With over 2,000 MBA alumni in China, CityU’s presence is growing. The MBA is offered in partnership with the University of International Business and Economics.
Since 2005, CityU started to offer its high quality programs in Mexico. Today, it has four active partnerships that offer programs from business to education to technology. More than 200 alumni, friends, and family members participated in its graduation ceremony this past weekend. The day before, students and their families visited CityU’s downtown campus and were greeted by President Richard Carter before an information session.
