CityU Crossing International Borders
City University of Seattle is excited for the recent opportunity to form new international agreements...
READ MORECityU has offered education in Slovakia for over 20 years operating through Vysoka Skola Manazmentu (VSM), the first private university created in Slovakia after Slovakia’s declaration of independence from Russia. Over the years, the partnered universities have granted thousands of Slovaks American and Slovakian accredited degrees.
To support Slovakia’s efforts in building an industry around information technology, CityU and VSM are again partnering, supported by a $1Million Euro European Union Grant, to develop a double degree in Information Systems that will be offered in Eastern Europe. VSM and CityU are hoping this degree program will provide the educated workforce necessary to accelerate the building effort and grow this thriving industry.
Distinguished faculty from VSM will be visiting CityU’s campus in Bellevue next week. During their visit they will be working with CityU faculty and the Provost on program development. As part of their visit, the VSM faculty will be giving a series of talks on Wednesday morning, November 16, 2011, in Room 14 in Building F on the CityU campus (11900 First Avenue N.E.) regarding Slovak Higher Education. These lectures are open to the public and faculty and staff are encouraged to stop in, if you’re interested.
