What To-Do Over Winter Break in Seattle
Many students choose to go home during Winter Vacation, but there are also some of us who will be staying in the Seattle area. While it may be colder and wetter than other times of the year, there are still many things to see and do! Here are some suggestions for things to do to pass the time or make unforgettable memories.
- Have you ever wanted to try some winter sports? The Cascade Mountains has plenty to offer! Some of the best spots for skiing or snowboarding are not too far from Seattle. Among them are Stevens Pass, Mt. Baker, The Summit at Snoqualmie, and Crystal Mountain. For more info, check out http://www.skiwashington.com.
- New Year’s at the Needle
- Celebrate the New Year at Seattle’s biggest party! Festivities start on the evening of December 31st and culminate in a grand fireworks display at the Space Needle! Check out https://www.spaceneedle.com/tmobilenye/ for more information.
- Wildlights at Woodland Park Zoo
- The zoo puts on a yearly light display that is a Seattle must-see! Walk around the entire zoo and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Oh yeah, there are animals, too! Check it out at http://www.zoo.org/wildlights#.WE7VrLIrJt8.
