Welcoming 135 Students to Seattle
This month 135 students from Mexicali, Tijuana, Ensenada, Monterrey, San Luis Potosi, and Puebla Mexico will participate in CityU’s “Summer in Seattle” program! This is part of students’ degree program in Mexico and lasts three weeks.
The academic programs represented include, the English Language Program; Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Bachelor of Arts in Management; Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology, and the Doctoral degree program in Education in Leadership (Ed.D.).
While students are in Seattle they will take classes with CityU’s practitioner faculty and will tour premier companies in the Pacific Northwest. As part of this summer program, students have the option to travel to Seattle this summer and to Prague next summer. Forty-three students, who came to Seattle last summer, are studying at CityU’s Prague location this summer. This offers students the opportunity to have a truly global education.
In addition to students coming to Seattle, CityU invites faculty from its partner institutions to visit and provide guest lectures. This is another way CityU ensures that international expertise is taught in its programs.
CityU has more than 300 students in Mexico, and over 150 dual degree graduates. It has offered academic programs in Mexico since 2005, and has seen growth in these academic programs annually.
Partner institutions in Mexico include:
- CETYS University in Baja California (Private not-for-profit)
- UPAEP University in Puebla Mexico (Private not-for-profit)
- Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi (ranks in the top 5 in all of Mexico and is a Public University)
- Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (second biggest university in Mexico with 152,000 students and is a Public University)
