ProLango Career Seminars Hosted at CityU
In CityU’s effort to prepare its students and alums to professionally succeed, CityU is hosting two career seminars through ProLango Consulting on October 8 and November 5 and 12. ProLango is a boutique career management and outplacement firm dedicated to developing strategic plans for candidates to find employment in today’s competitive job market. Instead of cookie-cutter career advice found elsewhere, ProLango interviews human resources and hiring managers to share behind-the-scenes information. As a result of this information, ProLango clients have found employment months faster than the industry average with this “insider” information.
On October 8 and November 12 from 1-3pm we will focus on LinkedIn and specifically address:
- How to research companies and their respective decision makers
- Who is your competition and what changes can you make to become more marketable
- What is the best way to reach out to people without getting marked as “spam”
On November 5 from 5-8pm there will be a career mixer aimed at cultivating relationships between job seekers and hiring companies. ProLango is the host of one of the largest career mixers in the country fostering an environment where professionals can build relationships with top employers.
Typical attendees of these events are middle to late career professionals in transition; executives and self-employed entrepreneurs attracted to cutting edge job search strategies. Their professions are in a wide range such as law and accounting, health care, software engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing, writing, operations, project management, and general management.
If you are a CityU alum, student, or partner you may use the discount code – CITYU – when registering. This will waive the $50 registration fee.
