President Carter to Retire
President Richard Carter announced that he will be retiring from City University of Seattle effective June 30, 2016.
During Carter’s tenure, CityU experienced growth in worldwide enrollment, attained doctoral-level accreditation, achieved programmatic accreditations with ABET and CACREP, and secured a top-30 ranking on US News and World Report’s best online-bachelor’s list.
“It has been my great honor,” said President Carter, “to lead a dynamic University so committed to serving those with the desire to learn. I have had the pleasure of working with a dedicated faculty and staff, and of serving many thousands of students in North America, Asia, and Europe. I thank our board of trustees and CityU’s inspiring students for entrusting me with this great responsibility.”
