Philadelphia to Puebla and Back to Seattle!
From Antonio Esqueda:
I’m writing to you from 30,000-feet in the air. If you read my last post, you know this is my month of non-stop travel. Right now I’m on a flight home to Seattle after a quick trip to the East Coast and Southern Mexico. There were a few bumps along the way but overall everything went smoothly. I’ll spend a few days in Bellevue before I hop another plane on April 21 to attend the CONAHEC Conference in Houston.
Here are just a couple of the cities I’ve visited this past week:
Philadelphia, April 8, Phi Beta Delta International Conference: Dean Judy Hinrichs and I co-presented the topic Internationalizing the Curriculum. Our presentation was very well received and it was the first year we attended the conference.
Puebla, Mexico, April 12, Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP): I visited with UPAEP colleague Rodolfo Carvajal and others to discuss academic collaboration projects. UPAEP is a private, not-for-profit university founded in 1973 and located in downtown Puebla. More than 8,000 students attend the university. As always, the UPAEP community went out of their way to make my visit as pleasant as possible. I’m pleased to announce CityU will host three UPAEP representatives April 18-21.
Lastly, I’ll leave you with a few more pictures from Puebla. More from me next week! Hasta la vista!
