CityU.edu has a New Look and Feel!

imageCity University of Seattle’s new website has been re-designed on a user-friendly platform and includes students, alumni and faculty stories throughout. It is focused on getting new students the information they need about CityU’s degree and certificate programs; and is built dynamically so users can read the content on mobile, tablet, PC or Mac. Current students, faculty and staff can also find information here, and can find links to the student, staff and faculty portal. Head over to the new cityu.edu and enjoy!

From the Military to the School of Management

imageOffering advice to other transitioning military veterans, Arjay Protacio stressed the importance of utilizing available education benefits. “As I look back, I feel I made the mistake of giving up on finishing school,” Arjay said. So last year, Arjay put those benefits to use and enrolled at CityU and is now pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Management. more

Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Earns ABET Accreditation

imageCityU’s Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) has been accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. ABET is a recognized accreditor in the United States by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. This makes CityU’s BSIS the only Information Systems program accredited in Washington State and one of only 40 ABET accredited information systems programs nationally. more

Student Profile, Roderick Read, BS Accounting

imageDespite his 20-plus years of experience in the financial industry, Roderick Read struggled to find employment after being laid off from his position in the treasury department at a large corporation. So in 2014 Roderick completed CityU’s Bachelor of Science in Accounting and was subsequently made treasurer of a small manufacturing firm in Illinois. His journey to obtain his diploma was more than 30 years in the making. more

Corporate Risk: New Areas of Study

imageCityU’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration now features a Corporate Risk emphasis area, and Bachelor of Arts in Management students can opt to select a specialized study track in this area of study. CityU is one of only a handful of universities to offer this in the country and is delighted to meet a growing need seen in businesses across a variety of sectors. more
