READ MOREWonderful opportunities happen when our CityU Alumni choose to give back! One of our 2021 Master of Science in Computer Science graduates is now a full-fledged Software Engineer with Adobe, the San Jose headquartered computer software company with 29,000+ employees. The Adobe Seattle office, located in the scenic Fremont area, became a source of inspiration for CityU students on a Tuesday afternoon after Winter Quarter finals.
The recent invitation of our generous Alumnus resulted in Sam Chung, Dean of the School of Technology & Computing, and Deirdre Grimes, Career Center Director, accompanying 16 CityU Students from the School of Technology & Computing and the School of Business and Management to the facilities at Adobe Seattle. The occasion was dubbed the Adobe Community Building Tour and Speakers Event.
The CityU Alumnus was the host and moderator for the seamlessly executed occasion. The first hour consisted of the Alumnus giving our group a personal tour of the beautiful Adobe building and grounds, allowing the CityU team to take in the amazing views. The second hour was the Speaker portion of the event which included five of Adobe’s amazing and informative Technology and Business Managers and Software Engineers. They were all personable and enlightening. They ranged in employment at Adobe between 1 and 23 years, and all seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The third hour was networking. Our CityU students were attentive, interactive, and appreciative of the experience.
After touring the magnificent Adobe location with its gorgeous views and hearing about the exciting work environment, we can certainly see why Adobe is consistently voted one of the “Best Places to Work”!
