Note: Accounting majors must demonstrate proficiency in basic accounting concepts through the
completion of AC 215, Fundamentals of Accounting, at City University of Seattle or the equivalent,
prior to enrolling in the major required courses.
Forty-five additional credit hours (in addition to a Bachelor’s degree) are required to sit for the
CPA exam in the State of Washington as of June 2000. These additional credit hours may be obtained
at the undergraduate or graduate level. Please consult the State Board of Accountancy in the state
where you plan to take the exam for your state’s specific requirements.
