Accounting

The graduate certificate in accounting prepares students for the professional challenges of becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). It consists of four review courses that concentrate on the concepts, theory, and technical materials routinely tested on the CPA exam. These four, three credit courses are recognized by the Washington State Board of Accountancy as accounting credits.

Prerequisite: Completion of an accounting major a City University of Seattle or another university. A major in accounting consists of courses in the intermediate accounting series, audit, business law, tax, and management accounting. Courses must be, at a minimum, at the 300 level or higher if undergraduate courses or MBA courses. Courses should begin with the letters "AC" or "ACC" and be intended for accounting majors.
