Endorsement Program for Teachers

Is this program for me?
If you are a certified teacher and wish to qualify as "Highly Qualified" in Special Education (P-12),
this program is for you. This program is offered at multiple Western Washington locations where you will
join with our B.A.Ed. or M.I.T. students who are also earning their endorsement.

What will I learn?
The Special Education (P-12) program will provide you with the knowledge and tools needed to teach
core curriculum to a diverse population of students with special needs.

What can I do with my endorsement?
Upon successful completion of this program and the WEST-E* exam, you will qualify for a Washington State
Endorsement in Special Education (P-12) and for "Highly Qualified" status. Endorsements are an important
part of a career advancement path that can provide you with expanded opportunities and options in the field
of education.
*Click here for more info on the WEST-E exam. Note: Washington State also has reciprocity with over 40 other states however, if you are not a Washington teacher, please check with your state for approval prior to taking this program. |
