Are you ready to be endorsed to teach Reading? City University of Seattle's Online Undergraduate Reading Endorsement program is designed for certified teachers who wish to advance their career by meeting the "highly qualified" standards of "No Child Left Behind" legislation in the subject of Reading.

What will I learn?
Earning your Reading endorsement from City University of Seattle will prepare you to teach reading, writing skills and literacy skills to students age K-12. The practicum portion of the program provides an opportunity for students to apply what they have learned in K-12 classroom settings to complete their Reading endorsement. Classes are held online.

What can I do with my endorsement?
CityU of Seattle's endorsement program meets the strict requirements of Washington State's Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and is also accepted by most other states. Earning your Reading endorsement from City University of Seattle will prepare you to teach reading and literacy skills to students grades K-12.

*A teaching certificate is required prior to entering the Undergraduate Certificate-Reading program. Documentation verifying the Washington Teachers' Continuing, Residency, or Professional Certificate must be submitted to the Albright School of Education before being admitted. Receipt of this program plan does not guarantee admittance into the undergraduate certificate program. Successful completion of the undergraduate certificate course requirements does not guarantee a Washington State Reading Endorsement.
