Endorsement Program for Teachers


Is this program for me?
If you are a certified teacher and wish to qualify as "Highly Qualified" in Mathematics teaching grades 5-12, this program is for you. Mathematics has been identified as a high need area, and Washington teachers may qualify for tuition assistance. This program is offered mostly online so you can earn your endorsement, without interrupting your career or spending time driving to class.

What will I learn?
The Mathematics (5-12) endorsement program will provide you with the knowledge and tools needed to teach mathematics curriculum to a diverse population of students in grades 5-12. This program is designed to meet the new OSPI requirements.

What can I do with my endorsement?
Upon successful completion of this program and the WEST-E* exam, you will qualify for a Washington State Endorsement in Mathematics (5-12) and for "Highly Qualified" status. Endorsements are an important part of a career advancement path that can provide you with expanded opportunities and options in the field of education.

Note: Washington State also has reciprocity with over 40 other states however, if you are not a Washington teacher, please check with your state for approval prior to taking this program.
