What will I learn?
Earning your ELL endorsement from City University of Seattle will prepare you to teach reading, writing skills and literacy skills to ELL /ESL students grade K-12. You will study Principles, Methods and Theories of Language Acquisition as well as Cross Cultural Teaching, Learning Strategies and Assessment. The internship portion of the program provides an opportunity for you to apply what you have learned in a K-12 classroom settings. The need for qualified ELL/ESL teachers continues to grow and endorsement in this area offers career security and advancement opportunities along with possible tuition assistance.
