Completing the Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) Specialization in addition to the MACP prepares graduates to work in the mental health field as Marriage and Family Therapists. This specialization meets the WA state educational requirements for licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Upon completion of degree requirements for the non-specialization MACP, students complete 8 additional credits (including an additional 250 hours of internship in couple and family counseling) for the CFT specialization.
