Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared to teach elementary or middle school students in
Washington public schools and in other schools that require the Washington residency certificate.

The one year program starts in the spring and is an intense full-time (M-F) daytime program that lasts 4 quarters. The two year classes are held every Saturday and there are also weekday internships required every other quarter. Both programs conclude with 14 weeks of student teaching.
A passing grade for the Washington State WEST-E exam is required of all teacher candidates before Master Degree and certification are awarded.
