Program Details

City University of Seattle's Albright School of Education offers a renowned Master of Education (M.Ed.) program for professional educators seeking to expand their career opportunities. This accredited program addresses state-approved standards for the development of educational leaders set by the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLCC) and includes the following topics:
  • teaching, learning and assessment
  • school diversity and current educational issues
  • finance, law and human resources
  • teacher leadership and professional growth
  • research and technology
The Master of Education in Leadership program is a 45 credit program that was created for educators seeking to advance their careers. If a Washington State administrator certification is desired, this program may be completed and candidates may return within five years for an additional 12 credit internship and seminar series, resulting in a residency principal or program administrator (or both) certificate. Alternatively, candidates may apply directly to the M.Ed. Leadership with Administrator Certification 45 credit program.
