If you are a teacher seeking a master's degree, the M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction provides you with
options. As part of the program, you can choose to earn your Professional Certification, take a
Technology Emphasis or create a customized program of Specialized Study.

What will I learn?
We've designed this program to provide you with flexible learning opportunities so you can study your
areas of interest while expanding on important concepts such as best practices for personal learning,
multicultural perspectives, increasing family and community engagement and current issues in education.
You will work closely with an advisor to customize a program that meets your needs and interests.
If you choose to pursue your Professional Certificate option your courses will be aligned with Washington
State standards and criteria for Teacher Professional Certification. The Technology Emphasis focuses on
using technology to enhance your students learning experience. The Specialized Study option is perfect for
those who want to explore a specific area of interest.

Completion of the program along with Washington State Professional Certification (if needed) will reward
you with greater recognition, career options, and advancement opportunities.
