What can I do with my certificate?
Upon completion of the program, you will have gained the skills and knowledge necessary to: understand the biological, social, and psychological issues related to aging; assess the needs of elderly populations; and work individually or collaboratively with other professionals to analyze and improve existing services/programs available to elderly adults. You will be qualified to work in the human services field in a variety of care and service settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc. You may also choose to pursue further studies in human services or gerontology.
