If you wish to qualify as a counsellor or therapist and seek registration with the B.C.A.C.C. our
Master of Counselling program is designed for you. Attend courses in Vancouver, Victoria or via
Inclusive Delivery Format (online plus quarterly seminars) allowing you to earn your degree
while continuing your current career.

What will I learn?
Your courses will address: fundamental skills; diversity and cultural psychology; ethics and law; grief
and loss; family systems; research; human development; psychopathology and psychopharmacology; testing
and assessment; psychotherapy theory; group counselling; psychological trauma; and addictions.

What can I do with my degree?
Become a counsellor or therapist qualified for professional registration. Completion of a recognized
master's degree is a requirement for professional registration and a key step on the road to career
advancement. Graduates of the CityU counseling program, work in community agencies, private practice,
colleges and universities, health care facilities, government departments, and employee assistance programs.
