Program Management Interactive Workshop

Offered by City University of Seattle's Management Institute in Partnership with the Program Management Academy

In today's complex, fast-paced business world, you need the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously if you want to achieve your company's goals. This innovative workshop will teach you the ins and outs of effective program management and provide you with the skills you need for success.

What is program management?
Program management is the coordinated management of interdependent projects over a finite period of time to achieve a set of business objectives. It is the discipline that enables today's organizations to produce their products, services and infrastructure in a fast, repeatable and integrated fashion. Program management is a comprehensive solution to emerging business and operational complexity and bridges a critical gap between strategy and projects by providing business-level coordination between related projects.

The need for program management is more critical now than ever before: Products and services must be designed with the increasingly complex demands of the customer, developed by a global workforce, manufactured by an overseas partner, marketed through a myriad of media in a dozen languages, and must then be immediately evolved to include the latest innovations.

What you'll learn
Our program management workshop is a two-day interactive course designed to teach you the principles, competencies, tools, tips and techniques required to successfully add program management capability to your organization. Your focus during the workshop will expand from individual project success to include well-coordinated, multi-project business success. Upon completion of the workshop, you will have significantly improved your ability to be competitive in today's challenging business environment.

The trainers of this course are Russ Martinelli and Jim Waddell, authors of "Program Management for Improved Business Results." Both are trained educators and international practitioners of program management.

Completion of the workshop makes you eligible for 16 Professional Development Units (PDUs) from the Project Management Institute, the world's leading membership association for the project management profession. You may claim PDUs for this course under PMI category 4.
