City University of Seattle offers a cohort-based, supervised method for practicing school principals and program administrators to earn their Professional Certificate for Administrators (ProCert). CityU of Seattle provides a convenient, flexible option to any administrator who has served in an administrative role for at least two years based on a Residency Administrator Certificate awarded in Washington State after September 2004. The program provides support to complete second-tier administrator or principal certification in just four quarters.
The program is six credits in length. Graduates earn six graduate credits while completing the entirety of their ProCert requirements. The CityU program is state-approved and certification requirements are based on the standards set by the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLCC).
This program is designed for administrators who appreciate individualized coaching, team support and web-based portfolio that can help contribute to further success as a professional administrator.
After a brief pre-assessment seminar, pro cert candidates receive ongoing support from CityU faculty, mentors and classmates through program completion and beyond.
CityU is among the largest providers of principal and program administrator certificates in the state. Continuing a tradition of personalized attention, small class sizes and coaching are focused on students to aid them in their plans for professional growth. Contact an advisor to learn more.
