• Library Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday

  Beginning Monday, October 17, 2011 City University of Seattle Library will have new operating hours. The library will also be closed November 11 for Veterans' Day and November 24-27 for Thanksgiving.

• New ProQuest Interface

  ProQuest has released a new interface for all of their databases, such as Education Journals, Research Library, and ABI/Inform Trade and Industry. This interface represents a complete redesign, emphasizing ease-of-use and innovative added features.

  ProQuest's new layout of the results page is designed to get you to relevant content quickly. Article Preview is a great new feature which provides you with more information about that result - without leaving the results page. You will also see your search terms highlighted within the full-text article.

  You can personalize your research experience with your own My Research account, with options to save articles, create search alerts, share lists, and more. To create a My Research account, click "Sign in" at the upper-right, then create a new account.

• Full-text dissertations database!

  The CityU Library is very pleased to announce the addition of a new electronic research database to the library�s collection - ProQuest Theses and Dissertations (PQTD).

  This database is especially exciting because it will serve many programs and will help address our high demand for graduate theses and dissertations. We have full-text access to documents from several PQTD subject areas, such as Business, Social Sciences (including Psychology and Education) and Science & Technology. CityU students can also submit their own graduate works to this database to be discovered by researchers all over the world.

  If you have time, try searching in PQTD for materials in your area of expertise. If you are familiar with our other ProQuest databases, you'll notice that the interface will feel very familiar. We would also encourage you to share this new database with any instructors and students who you feel would benefit from it.
