City University of Seattle delivers a Bachelor of Arts in Education on the campus of Centralia College. Graduates of Centralia College can also transfer up to 90 lower division credits to bachelor degree completion programs in business, accounting, computer systems, communications, and psychology. Lower Columbia College (LCC) and City University of Seattle have agreement for LCC students to complete a Bachelor’s Degree at CityU in either Criminal Justice, Computer Systems, or Education upon completing their Associate’s Degree at LCC. University of Southern Queensland (USQ)
City University of Seattle has partnered with the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) in Australia to offer a Bachelor of Accounting and Sustainable Business (BASB) degree. This unique program provides students not only with a knowledge base in financial accounting, management accounting, business law and finance, but more importantly with the knowledge and skills to meet the needs of organizations to strategically manage and report their environmental and social impacts on the community.
Students must enroll through USQ and request the option of additionally applying to CityU of Seattle for the dual degree. On completion of the Bachelor of Accounting and Sustainable Business, students who have taken the dual degree option will be eligible to be awarded full credit towards the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration provided they have met certain academic and administrative requirements.
This program is offered to international students and delivered in Queensland, Australia on the Springfield campus. For this program, an international student is considered to be a person who is not an Australian or New Zealand citizen and not an Australian permanent resident.
The Bachelor of Accounting and Sustainable Business is accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and CPA Australia.
University of International Business and Economics (UIBE)
Together, City University of Seattle and UIBE offer an MBA program designed for Chinese managers who wish to earn an American degree while actively engaged in their professions. This unique program is taught in partnership between CityU and UIBE professors.
Founded in 1951 and formerly called Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade, UIBE was first designated a key university by the Chinese government in 1960 for its outstanding academic programs. In May 1997, UIBE was put on a list of universities for “Project 211” – a governmental program aimed at converting about 100 Chinese universities into world-renowned, high-quality academic institutions in the 21st century. In 2000, UIBE became a state university under the leadership of the Ministry of Education, and that June, merged with China Institute of Finance.
Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering (ZUAE)
The program between Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering and CityU is a 3+1 student exchange program. It allows students from Zhongkai to transfer to CityU where they will complete their last year to earn a U.S. bachelor degree. Zhongkai began transferring students from Guangzhou to CityU in Bellevue, Wash. in the fall of 2010.
Founded in 1927, Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering (Zhongkai) occupies about 100 acres on the south bank of the Zhujiang (Pearl) River in Guangzhou, China.
In 1984, the school was evaluated and sanctioned by the Ministries of Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry and Education as a university. It now employs 600 staff members preparing students in twenty-six majors through sixteen teaching departments. They are: Social Science, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Agriculture, Economics and Management, and Computer Science. The school also is unique in that it serves as a regional center for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) headquartered at Cambridge University in England.
Zhongkai has more than 12,000 students, including adult learners and graduate students. The student population is expected to grow by 26,000 in the next five years.
Vysoka Skola Financni a Spravni (VSFS)
Vysoka Skola Financni a Spravni or University of Finance and Administration is the largest private institution of higher education in the Czech Republic, both in the number of students and in the number of full-time faculty. Together, these factors provide a rich educational experience for the students who study here. City University of Seattle’s partnership with VSFS allows Czech students to engage in MBA studies.
A distinguishing factor of the MBA program in Prague is the unique faculty mix. Students are taught by experienced local faculty as well as by City University of Seattle’s distinguished traveling international MBA instructors. Selection to the City University of Seattle MBA program at VSFS is based on a combination of previous business experience, academic background, and competence in the English language. VSFS is proud to host this flagship program which is attracting students from top national and international companies.
MBA graduates from this program are employed as financial advisors, finance managers, and in executive leadership positions, demonstrating the quality of the program.
City Unity College
City University of Seattle started its partnership with City Unity College in Athens in September, 1999 with a small cohort of BSBA students. Since these humble beginnings, not only has the size of the student body increased to more than 250 undergraduate and graduate students, but the number of degree programs that are available for students has also expanded. In addition to the BSBA and MBA degrees, Athens is the only City University of Seattle location in Europe that offers the BSCS degree. Additionally, over 500 students participate in corporate programs. Students seeking a City University of Seattle degree can choose between a convenient downtown location in Athens city center and in North Athens. City University of Seattle graduates in Athens are in demand with over 98% of graduates finding full-time employment within six months of earning their degree.
In 2005, City University of Seattle formed an educational partnership with The Technological Education Institute (T.E.I.) of Piraeus, one of twelve independent and self-governed technological schools that constitute the national system of higher technological education in Greece. The CU-TEI Piraeus program offers a City University of Seattle Master of Science in Computer Systems (C++ Programming emphasis/Web Programming in E-Commerce Emphasis) and a MS in Project Management. The programs are approved by the Hellenic ministry of National Education & Religious Affairs and open to students holding a Greek higher education institution’s degree and/or a recognized non-Greek equivalent.
ASM Group of Institutes
In 2014, City University of Seattle signed an Articulation Agreement with ASM Group of Institutes (ASM) headquartered in Pune, India to offer CityU’s Master in Business Administration. The Articulation Agreement allows students in the Post-Graduation Diploma in Management (PGDM) from ASM’s International Institute of Business and Research (IIBR) to transfer up to 12 graduate level credits to CityU. After successful completion of the first year PGDM program, students transfer to CityU in Seattle for a year to complete the MBA.
Centro De Ensenanza Technica Superior (CETYS) Universidad
City University of Seattle and CETYS offer three Double Degree programs through a unique partnership. CETYS students enrolled in the School of Business may earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). Those enrolled in the School of Engineering may earn a Bachelor of Arts in Management (BAM). And those enrolled in the Psychology degree program may earn a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology (BAAP). Students in the Organizational Psychology program may apply for the BAM program as well.
In the Double Degree programs, students learn from expert faculty in their field and spend two consecutive summers abroad at CityU of Seattle sites in Seattle and in Europe. The typical length of each stay is about three weeks. Upon successful completion, students will receive one of three Double Degree combinations: a CETYS licenciatura in business and a CityU BSBA or a CETYS ingeniero and CityU BAM (Organizational Psychology students will earn a licenciatura in Psychology) or a CETYS licenciatura in Psychology and a CityU BAAP.

About the CETYS and CityU Partnership
In 2005, the private, not-for-profit universities signed an agreement to offer CityU programs in Baja California, Mexico to serve CETYS students. Founded in 1961 by local business leaders, CETYS provides quality education alternatives for students in Baja California. The nationally recognized university contributes to the development of the border economy, operating campuses in Mexicali, Ensenada and Tijuana. Each year, about 6,000 students pursue CETYS credit-bearing and continuing education courses in business, engineering, law and behavioral sciences. In 2010, CETYS Rector Dr. Fernando Leon Garcia and CityU President Lee Gorsuch renewed the CityU/CETYS partnership agreement to continue to offer CityU programs in Baja California. CETYS maintains the approval of the Mexican Ministry of Education and Ministry of Education and Social Welfare of the State of Baja California. The Mexican Ministry of Education and Government of Baja California recognizes CETYS as one of a select number of private institutions of high quality and the only private institution of excellence in the state.
CETYS is accredited by the Mexican Federation of Private Institutions (FIMPES) and is one of the few private institutions to hold a membership in the National Association of Institutions of Higher Education (ANUIES). The university also is a candidate for U.S. institutional accreditation with the Western Association of Colleges and Universities.
Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL)
This program is designed for UANL students looking to pursue an American business degree and international travel. Students enrolled in FACPYA (UANL’s business school) may start working toward a BSBA and continue to earn their licenciatura.
With City University of Seattle and FACPYA’s Double Degree program, students will learn global business strategies from American professors at FACPYA’s campus. Through the CityU of Seattle and FACPYA partnership, students will spend three weeks abroad in Seattle or in a European CityU location where they will learn from faculty who teach what they do for a living. In just nine semesters, students will graduate with a highly sought-after degree from a U.S. accredited university along with a UANL degree. Students will move into the competitive job market having perfected their English/Spanish interpretation skills, and are also eligible to enroll in an English-language graduate school.

About the UANL and CityU Partnership
CityU and UANL entered into a joint partnership to offer CityU’s BSBA program to Mexican business students in 2007. The program – primarily based in the country’s top manufacturing city of Monterrey – received its first group of students in Fall quarter of 2010.
A public institution founded in 1933, UANL is the third-largest university in Mexico and offers 221 programs that range from undergraduate to doctorate level.
More than 115,000 make up the student body – many of whom strive to be society’s leading professionals, researchers, professors and technicians. More than 15,000 students belong to UANL’s business school FACPYA.
UANL is decentralized from the federal government with full legal capacity. The university also works to continually develop and improve its academic offerings. The National Council of Educative Evaluation (CIEES) accredits all UANL undergraduate programs and the National Graduate Studies List, CONACYT (PNPC) acknowledges 66 graduate programs. Among the university’s international accreditation, the civil engineering program is recognized by Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP)
Through this program, students working on their UPAEP licenciatura or ingeniero can invest in their global education with City University of Seattle.
Through the UPAEP partnership with CityU of Seattle, students may earn a BSBA or a BAM. Both CityU programs are designed so students can complete them in the same amount of time it takes to finish their UPAEP undergraduate degree.
In the Double Degree program, students will learn from expert faculty in their field and spend two consecutive summers abroad at CityU sites in Seattle and in Europe. The typical length of each stay is about three weeks.
The BSBA program is a perfect fit for UPAEP business majors while the CityU BAM is specifically tailored for the university’s other majors.

About the UPAEP and CityU Partnership
Like CityU, UPAEP is a private, not-for-profit university with a similar vision: to provide students with an international education. The two schools signed an agreement in January 2010 to offer two of CityU’s high-quality programs at the Mexican university’s Puebla campus, which caters to students who live south of Mexico City. The Double Degree programs are the first degrees of their kind to be offered to the university’s undergraduate business and engineering students.UPAEP first opened its doors in 1973 and today enrolls more than 8,000 undergraduate and 3,500 graduate students each year to its dozens of programs. University faculty put a strong emphasis on educating environmentally conscious students in an effort to cultivate future leaders who can transform society.
The Secretary of Education ranks UPAEP among the top 15 private universities in Mexico. The university is accredited by the Mexican Federation of Private Universities (FIMPES).
Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi (UASLP)
This program is designed for engineering students at UASLP who wish to study abroad to earn their American undergraduate degree along with their ingeniero or licenciatura.

IntercollegeIBS (Institute of Business Studies), University of Nicosia

In partnership with City University of Seattle in Romania, IntercollegeIBS offers an MBA program with specializations in both Financial Management and Marketing. The Financial Management MBA program is the only one of its kind offered in Romania. At IntercollegeIBS, students benefit from the unique faculty mix of CityU’s distinguished international MBA instructors and experienced local faculty.
Vysoka Skola Manazmentu (VSM)
City University of Seattle began offering degree programs in (then) Czechoslovakia in 1991, shortly after the “Velvet Revolution.” After Slovakia became a sovereign state in 1993, CityU founded a new Slovak college called Vysoka Skola Manazmentu, established by law of the National Council. The school received formal accreditation for undergraduate business studies from the Slovak Ministry of Education, thus becoming the first private college in Slovakia. Students who study at CityU (VSM) have the unique opportunity to receive dual degrees: the CityU degree (BSBA) and the Slovak Bachelor’s degree (Bc.). At the Master’s level, students also have the option of receiving the CityU MBA degree, the VSM Mgr. degree, or both.
CityU (VSM) has two locations in Slovakia. In the capital city of Bratislava, CityU occupies its own building which serves as the university’s European headquarters. The modern facility houses 15 classrooms, two computer labs and a library. CityU’s facility in the provincial capital of Trenčín hosts similar features (including student dorms). Students at both CityU locations enjoy the added benefit of learning from well-qualified international as well as local Slovak faculty.
Business & Hotel Management School
In partnership with the Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS), students can pursue an MBA in Global Management combined with a hands-on Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality Management.
BHMS, located in the heart of Lucerne, is a member of the Bénédict Switzerland group of schools, founded in 1972, whose mission is to provide higher education for adults with a desire to succeed. Bénédict School is one of Switzerland’s largest private educational organizations and is educating more than 15,000 full- and part time students annually.
At the BHMS Lucerne campus, about 400 students per year have the opportunity to prepare themselves for future management roles in the hotel and hospitality industry.
Banking Academy of Vietnam
The 3 + 1 program offered by The Banking Academy of Vietnam (BAV) and CityU is a specially designed program for Vietnamese students who wish to earn a U.S. degree, but are not able to study in the U.S. The joint program was launched in fall of 2012 and is CityU’s first undergraduate program where U.S. course delivery is offered in Vietnam.
Students in the BAV-CityU program will:
- Complete three years of study at BAV and then a senior year with CityU to receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialty emphasis in Finance.
- Have an option during their final quarter of study to transfer from Vietnam to CityU’s main campus in Seattle to complete their degree under CityU’s mobility program.
Hoc Vien Ngan Hang or BAV was established in 1961 and is a State-Owned institution of higher education. The institution was established for the purposes of delivering professional education, higher education, and post-graduate training in the fields of monetary funds, credit and banking. The 3 + 1 bachelor’s degree transfer program offered by Baria-Vung Tau University and CityU is a specially designed program for Vietnamese students who wish to earn a U.S. degree. Students in the program complete three years at BVU and transfer for their last year of study to CityU’s main campus in Seattle to complete their degree in Business Administration. Students have the option of staying in the U.S. to complete an MBA program.
The 4 + 12 graduate program offered by Baria-Vung Tau University (BVA) and CityU is designed for Vietnamese students who hold a bachelor’s degree from BVU or other recognized institution in Vietnam and who want to complete a U.S. graduate degree. After successful completion of 4 graduate courses at BVU, students transfer to complete one year of full-time study (12 courses) at CityU’s main campus in Seattle to earn an MBA degree.
BVU was established in 2006 and is a socialized university. The first university in the city of Vung Tau, the university now has three campuses in the city and enrolls 7,400 students annually. It is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. The institution offers programs in economics, engineering, and technology. The University focuses on marine economy and technology to meet the workforce needs of a highly industrialized and modern Ba Ria Vung Tau province, one of the main economic hubs in South Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh University of Education
The 3 + 1 Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems (BSCS) program offered by Ho Chi Minh (HCMC) University of Education and City University of Seattle is uniquely designed for Vietnamese students who wish to earn a U.S. degree. Students in the program study for three years at HCMC in Ho Chi Minh, and one year in Seattle at CityU’s headquarters and main campus. By completing this program, students get a BSCS from CityU and have the option to stay in the U.S. and complete an Master of Science in Computer Science.
HCMC University of Education was established in 1976 and has approximately 25,000 students. It is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and has the responsibility to assist schools of education and training in provinces and cities in South Vietnam. HCMC University of Education primarily produces teachers with bachelor’s and graduate degrees who work at the preschool, elementary, secondary or college level.

University of Danang, University of Economics
The 3 + 1 Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (BSBA) program offered by The University of Danang, University of Economics (UD-UE), Vietnam and City University of Seattle is uniquely designed for Vietnamese students who wish to earn a U.S. degree. Students in the program study for three years at The UD-UE Vietnam, and one year in Seattle at CityU’s headquarters and main campus. By completing this program, students get a BSBA from CityU and have the option to stay in the U.S. and complete an MBA.
The UD-UE is recognized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam. The University of Danang was established on April 4, 1994 and has approximately 35,000 students. The University of Danang will continue to expand a focus on high technology, renovating training curricula, improving teaching methodologies, increasing the quality of training and applying scientific research results to practice in order to meet the renovation of national economy.
