Whether you’re looking for a traditional in-class education experience, or want to complete your degree online, CityU offers a range of program options to fit your schedule.
CityU’s online education programs take place in a virtual classroom through a system where students log-in to check assignments, discuss topics with classmates, collaborate on projects and check grades.
The online option allows students to complete the same materials as in-person classes, interact with peers and professor, and receive feedback throughout the course.
This more traditional way of attending classes gives students the advantage of networking with classmates and talking with instructors face to face. CityU offers day, evening and weekend classes at facilities that can accommodate both your educational needs and your busy schedule.
Mixed-mode programs include some in-class sessions, supplemented by CityU’s online system. This way students can interact with their professor face-to-face, and also complete assignments online on their own schedule.
Performance-based programs allow students to earn credit in an innovative manner that recognizes the skills they’ve already developed. Students draw from their prior experience and learned knowledge to master the material identified in course content blocks. Students work at their own pace with the support of a faculty facilitator, and complete assessments that measure course outcomes.
Students’ assessments are evaluated according to the rubric by independent Faculty Outcomes Evaluators. Students may proceed as quickly or slowly through the course content blocks, up to a maximum of two quarters.
