Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership

CityU is now a doctoral level institution. In February 2011, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) approved City University of Seattle to offer a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.).

The first doctoral program will be offered starting in September 2011 in a mixed-mode format, yet primarily online with several intensive face-to-face residencies with a focus on leadership.

This doctoral program is for those seeking credentials as superintendents in the school system as well as leaders working in community colleges or universities, and others seeking advancement to management positions.

As with many CityU programs, this degree will be practitioner-oriented, providing candidates a doctoral credential that will give them the tools needed to be focused, strategic organizational leaders.
