As a private, not-for-profit university that's funded by tuition dollars and not by endowments or public funding, CityU is in a unique position to be able to provide qualified laid-off workers in Washington state with financial assistance to go to school.

CityU will award 200 recently laid-off workers undergrad scholarships worth $1,800 per quarter for six quarters, totaling $10,800.*

Take the next step - get your master's degree. CityU will award 200 recently laid-off workers graduate scholarships worth $500 per quarter for six quarters, totaling $3,000.*

  • Undergraduate students must take at least 3 classes per quarter. Graduate students must take at least two classes per quarter.
  • Not available with other discount programs
  • Not available to students receiving employer-paid tuition benefits

Note: These scholarships will be applied toward your CityU tuition, but will not cover the full tuition. Financial aid and student loans are available for those who qualify and can be combined with these scholarships.
