Sabine Saway serves as the director of the International Student Office and has helped international students at City University of Seattle since 1998. She is responsible for the operations of the department, outreach activities and advising students on academic and immigration issues. Originally from Austria, Sabine enjoys learning about different cultures, reading, gardening, hiking and skiing.

Associate Director of International Recruitment

Clarice Tan manages the international student recruitment initiatives for CityU. She works with partner schools, agents, and prospective international students. She came from the Philippines to the U.S. in 2006 to pursue her MBA program. She is passionate about providing students with the opportunity to study in the U.S. and experience the culture. Clarice speaks English, Tagalog, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. She enjoys traveling, learning new cultures, and making friends with people from different countries.

Kyle Brown

International Student Recruitment & Outreach Coordinator

Kyle Brown is responsible for coordinating recruitment and outreach efforts to international students within the US and all over the world. Kyle regularly travels overseas to attend fairs and meet students and help them understand the best way to attend school in the United States. When not travelling, Kyle enjoys food and cooking, spending time outdoors, and learning new languages.

Michael Campbell

International Student Advisor

As an international student advisor, Michael Campbell's primary responsibilities include guiding students through the admissions process, assisting with immigration-related issues, and providing academic program information. Meeting students from around the globe is what he enjoys most about his role. A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Michael is an avid sports fan. When he's not rooting for the Seattle Mariners baseball team or following the National Football League, he likes watching movies and listening to music.

Sima Janka provides academic and immigration advising to new students, current students and agents. Sima believes that helping students achieve their academic goals is rewarding and valuable. As international students face unique challenges, Sima is passionate to assist them to transition to life as a student in a new country. She always welcomes students and assists them from the time they consider studying in City University of Seattle, during their study and graduation. Sima's favorite part of her job is learning about different cultures and helping students achieve their educational goals. In her spare time, Sima enjoys reading, gardening and traveling.

Inese Woodward

International Admissions Coordinator/Advisor

Originally from Latvia, Inese Woodward is a graduate of CityU's MBA program and has been a part of the International Student Office team since 2005. She advises students on immigration-related matters (work authorizations, visa, travel, etc.). Should you decide to participate in any of our international student activities, Inese will be your main contact. She welcomes suggestions for making your stay at CityU more enjoyable and fun.

Ellahdia Ang

Associate Advisor

As an associate advisor, Ellahdia Ang is the initial point of contact for prospective students and also provides assistance to current students regarding general school processes. Being a part of the international advising team gives Ellahdia a unique opportunity to learn about different cultures and help students meet their educational goals at the same time. Outside of the office, Ellahdia enjoys playing piano, hiking, reading, and foreign films.

Deanne Puloka

Associate Advisor

Deanne Puloka grew up in the island Kingdom of Tonga and moved to the U.S. in 2006 to pursue undergrad and graduate studies. Her first culture shock experience was the sheer number of cereal choices in the grocery store! Since then, Deanne has shared many memorable cross cultural moments with friends and students from around the world. As an associate advisor, Deanne pulls from her life experience and her academic background in Intercultural Communication to provide meaningful support for educational agents and incoming international students.

Deanne enjoys staying active in the AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) community and exploring Seattle's distinctive neighborhoods on long walks with her dog. She looks forward to meeting you at City University of Seattle!

Susmita was born in Nepal and she grew up in Singapore. She came to Seattle 8 years ago for her undergraduate studies. For someone who grew up in warm, sunny, and humid weather in Singapore, Seattle's weather was a little hard to get used to at first. But she has learned to like it since then. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2010 from the City University of Seattle. She is now both a part-time Student Records Assistant and a full-time MBA student. Her hobbies include photography, walking around Green Lake, cooking, and trying out foods from different cultures and regions.
