CityU is dedicated to providing an affordable tuition, and offers students access to several financial aid services and programs – loans, grants, work study, scholarships, and more. Money shouldn't be the issue that prevents students from earning their education, and we're committed to helping students at every economic level pay for their education.
Important Financial Aid Times Frames
Students are accepted into CityU programs throughout the year. When applying, keep the following financial aid time frames in mind. It takes:
*A student's FAFSA can only be processed once they have been matriculated into their program, and student loans will not be disbursed until they have completed Entrance Counseling and electronically signed their MPN on www.studentloans.gov.
- One week for CityU to receive an online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) submissions from students.
- Four to six weeks to process a student's FAFSA or Award Package*.
- Three to four weeks to process a student for verification once the student has submitted all necessary documents.
- Two to three days for Federal Stafford Loans to be posted by CityU's Business Office. Processing begins every Tuesday. Refunds are issued and available the following week.
