The following are a list of detailed instructions for participation in the commencement ceremony. Please make sure to complete the following steps in the allotted timelines:

Students planning to attend the 2008 commencement ceremony should have submitted their Final Degree Audit Application and the $100 fee by February 15, 2008. Applications received by that date ensure that evaluations for eligibility will be completed. If you still wish to participate in this year’s commencement and have missed the February 15th deadline, send in your Final Degree Audit Application as soon as possible. The Registrars office will make every effort to evaluate eligibility and send out commencement information in a timely manner. Our commencement ceremony is held annually in the month of June. Students who completed degree requirements at the conclusion of the preceding summer, fall, winter or spring quarters are eligible to participate. A student who by the end of the Spring Quarter (June 30) is within two courses of fulfilling all degree requirements may also participate in that year’s commencement exercises.

Students who have completed the academic requirements for a degree but who have outstanding financial obligations will not be prevented from participating in commencement exercise; however, no diploma or transcript will be issued to such students until their financial account has been cleared.

Bachelor's and master's degree students who may be eligible to receive honors and wear an honor cord at Commencement should read these instructions, and then, if appropriate, should contact the Registrar's Office.

If you are planning on attending this year’s commencement ceremony, please email your confirmation of attendance to graduation@cityu.edu no later than May 23, 2008. Please include your name, student ID number, and degree that you will receive within the body of the email.
