H1N1/Swine Flu Update
City University of Seattle is monitoring H1N1 news reports that concern all of our students, faculty and staff.
If an outbreak of H1N1 occurs on any of our locations we will provide you with updates on this page.
CityU of Seattle set up precautionary measures for an H1N1 outbreak at one of our sites. The following action levels
define the severity of an outbreak and the corresponding university responses.
- Green Level The site remains open but staff, faculty and students remain vigilant of a potential flu outbreak with preparation and monitoring.
- Yellow Level The site remains open. CityU implements policies for social distancing - the act of limiting person-to-person contact by postponing meetings or events - and personal protection equipment (PPE) - gloves and face masks.
- Red Level Site closes to staff, faculty and students. Social distancing and PPE policies are enforced for essential employees who must remain on campus along with students who cannot evacuate the area.
*Students who are absent from class because of the flu must tell their instructor and call the CityU help line below.
Please stay home for at least 24 hours after you no longer have a fever (100 degrees Fahrenheit or 38 degrees Celsius) brought down by a fever reducing medication.
