Learn from the City

From a city known for world-changing ideas comes an improved approach to higher education.

Inspired by the innovative nature of the place we call home, City University of Seattle approaches higher learning from a different angle. Knowing that our students are driven by unique circumstances, experiences and goals, we’ve designed a model of education that’s flexible enough to meet them. We offer online, in-class or mixed-mode learning options, a student-focused, nonprofit structure, and experienced faculty who actually practice what they teach. Put together, it all just means that if you know where you’re going, we know how to get you there.

What can I study?

We have dozens of programs - more than 60 in all, including undergraduate and graduate degrees, certificates and endorsements. CityU programs cover business, technology, management, education, general studies, communications, psychology and counseling, just to name a few.

Where can I study?

CityU has 30 locations in the Northwest and worldwide. Many of our degree, certificate and endorsement programs are also offered completely online so you can learn from anywhere. Whatever works best for you.

What are the different ways to take a class?

You can go the traditional route and attend class in person, complete coursework online, or mix it up with a little of both. CityU is all about giving you the flexibility to fit school into your busy life.

How much does CityU cost?

CityU is a not-for-profit university, which means our focus is on education, not the bottom line. Our tuition rates are competitive, and you'll find a full range of financial aid and scholarship programs, too.

Can I get credit for my work experience?

Definitely. Our Prior Learning Assessment Program lets you earn credits for the learning you've already done in the real world, provided your experience is recent and verifiable. You may also receive credit for military courses as evaluated by ACE.

I'm nervous about going back to school. How can you help?

Well, we can tell you it won't be easy. If you're motivated and committed to following through, you can do it. And we have plenty of resources available to help make it as rewarding and hassle-free as possible.
